Chatfield Marina & Boat Rentals
The Chatfield Marina is the full-service marina on Chatfield Reservoir, run as a concession inside Chatfield State Park. It rents boats from May through October, rents boat slips and offers boat storage, and runs Seagulls restaurant, open April 1 through October 31. Call 303-791-5555 or book through chatfield-marina.com. The marina is a private business, so its prices and bookings come from the marina, not from Colorado Parks and Wildlife; you still need a park pass to drive in.
The Marina at a Glance
Boat Rentals
The marina's own site says boat rentals run May through October and are booked online. Rental availability, boat types and prices change by season, so check the marina's site before you plan around a particular boat. For non-motorized rentals and sailing instruction, the marina works with two partner businesses, Colorado Watersports and Victoria Sailing School.
Want to ride a personal watercraft? Colorado Parks and Wildlife says jet skis are currently not available to rent at Chatfield, so plan on bringing your own (Boating).
Seagulls Restaurant
Seagulls is the marina's dockside eatery, serving American food to boaters, campers and park visitors from April 1 to October 31 each year. CPW's park pages call it the park's floating restaurant.

Boat Slips and Storage
The marina rents short-term and long-term slips from April through October and offers boat storage. Its site currently says seasonal slips are sold out; see the slip FAQ on chatfield-marina.com about seasonal and temporary slips.
Rules Near the Marina
- No swimming at the marina or from the boat docks. Swim only at the swim beach.
- Every boat you bring needs registration, an ANS stamp and a ramp inspection before launch.
- Life jackets: Colorado law requires a properly sized life jacket aboard for every person.
Getting There
The marina is inside the park, so you'll pay the park entrance fee at the gate first (Hours & Fees). For a driving route that works, use one of the two entrance addresses on Entrances & Directions; typing the park's name into a map app can send you the wrong way.
Good For / Maybe Skip If
Good for: first-timers who want a day on the water without owning a boat, groups planning a lake lunch, and sailors looking for lessons.
Maybe skip if: you're visiting in winter. Rentals, slips and the restaurant are seasonal, and the reservoir closes to boats from December 1 until the ice goes off. Winter anglers head for the ice instead (Fishing).
